Iran Film Week screened ‘So Close, So Far’ in Bosnia

Iranian movie ‘So Close, So Far’ has been screened at the Iranian Films Week in Bosnia.

Iranian movie ‘So Close, So Far’ has been screened at the Iranian Films Week in Bosnia.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the movie was screened at the second night of the Iranian event in Sarajevo.

‘So Close, So Far’ was Mirkarimi’s fourth feature film that won Crystal Simorghs for the Best Picture and Best Cinematographer and was chosen to represent Iran at the annual Academy Awards.

The movie tells the story of Mahmoud Alam who is a highly successful surgeon who lives a good life in Tehran, or it seems so.

But he has dedicated most of his time to appearing on TV talk shows and having fun with his friends; so he does not seem to have enough time for his family, especially his son, Saman.

Following the Iran cultural weeks in Bosnia, the final week was dedicated to Iranian films.

The five-day event will also screen ‘Daughter’, ‘Crazy Rook’, ‘Where Are My Shoes?’ and ‘Angels Come Together’.
